We have been busy recording the new syllabus pieces, and we are pleased to announe that Clarinet Grades 1 to 5 are now complete. There are one or two syllabus pieces that have not been recorded, so please check the Track Listings for each CD before purchase. Flute Grades 1 to 5 are also available.

In addition we have added downloadable accompaniments for many of the List A and B pieces for Flute Grades 1 to 5 and Clarinet Grades 1 to 5; these downloads are available as mp3 tracks. See below for more details of the download tracks that are available.

Buying Preference / Payment Options

The primary payment option if you choose to purchase a CD from the website is to input your credit/debit card details via the usual SSL/https link with our secure site. All data entered is securely encrypted via the usual 'Golden Padlock' link with our secure servers.

We have now added PayPal Website Payments Pro to our website, providing an alternative option for paying for CDs or downloaded tracks. If you have a PayPal account you will be provided with an opportunity to login to your account to complete the payment process.

What's New

'Pocket Pianist', Alto Saxophone Grade 4 and Tenor Saxophone Grade 4 now contain solo tracks for each of the pieces on the CD. As with our other CDs, the solo is added purely as an indication of how the piece goes, and the solo part fits with the accompaniment; the solo recording is not intended to be an 'exemplar' recording of how the piece should be played.

We now have a large selection of flute accompaniments to download as mp3 files, including nearly all the List A and B pieces for Flute Grades 1 to 5, and Clarinet Grades 1 to 5 for the new 2008 & 2009 Syllabus. Each track can be purchased individually. You can also buy individual tracks for a number of different books (used across the grades/examination boards) and then compile them onto a 'favourites' CD using one of many available CD burning programs. Alternatively you can play them from your MP3 player.

Each downloaded mp3 file contains two recordings of the chosen piece. The first recording contains the solo instrument playing alongside the piano to allow students to get a good feel fro how the solo and accompaniment parts work together. The second recording contains just the piano accompaniment.

The tempo of each track has been carefully selected such that the essential character of the piece is maintained. The tempo is not necessarily, however, the tempo indicated on the music score, rather, the pieces are played at tempo which are considered to be more accessible to the beginner player, or student who is just starting to prepare for a graded examination.

You can now buy accompaniments for advanced grade (6-8) examination pieces as individual downloads; where appropriate these accompaniments will be offered at a number of different tempo so that students can progressively prepare for their examination. So far advanced grade pieces are restricted to Flute Grade 6 but there will be more to follow in the near future.

More tracks will be added over the coming weeks for other instruments. Our next priority is to re-record the trumpet syllabus pieces and also make them available via mp3 download.
